 Restore a deleted record
==========================

Deleting is reversible — filter any list to deleted records and restore them; only force delete is final.

 Updated August 13, 2026

 Deleting a company, person, opportunity, task, or note doesn't destroy it — the record is moved out of sight and can be restored. Only **Force delete**, which is reserved for workspace administrators, removes data permanently.

-------------------------------------------------

1. Open the record type's list — say **Companies**.
2. Open the filters and set **Deleted records** to **Only deleted records**.
3. Find the record and choose **Restore** from its row menu.

The record returns with everything intact — field values, linked tasks and notes, activity history. Select several rows to restore in bulk.

With the deleted-records filter active, administrators also see **Force delete**. That removes the record for good — there is no undo, and no way for Relaticle support to bring it back. If there's any doubt, [export the records first](/help/records/export-your-data).

-----------------------------------------

- Deleted records don't appear in lists, search, the board, or the AI assistant's answers.
- Deleting a company doesn't delete the people, tasks, or notes attached to it — restoring the company brings the account view back together.
- Everyone in the workspace can delete and restore; only administrators can force delete.
