Getting started

Use custom fields

Add, edit, or reuse the fields that capture the data your team tracks.

Updated August 12, 2026

Custom fields capture anything Relaticle doesn't track out of the box, such as a lead source, a renewal date, or an internal priority, on companies, people, opportunities, notes, or tasks. Add one from the Custom Fields page and it appears on that entity's create and edit forms right away, with no other setup.

  1. Click your workspace name at the top of the sidebar, then click Custom Fields.
  2. Select the entity tab: Companies, People, Opportunities, Notes, or Tasks.
  3. Click Add Field.
  4. Choose a Type: Text, Number, Currency, Date, Select, Multi Select, Checkbox, Link, Tags Input, and more.
  5. Type a name into Name.
  6. For Select-type fields, click Add Option for each choice.
  7. Click Submit.

The field shows up immediately wherever that entity is created or edited.

Field settings

Each field has toggles for Visible in List, Visible in View, Toggleable Hidden, Searchable, and Encrypted, plus, for single-choice fields, Enable Color Options or Unique Per Entity Type. Fields marked Searchable also become available in that entity's filter panel. See Find anything with search and filters.

If a field is marked System, then you can edit it but not delete it

Fields like Amount, Close Date, and Stage on opportunities, or Domains on companies, ship with Relaticle and carry a System badge. Open one from its Actions menu to rename it, or to reorder, recolor, or add its options. The menu just won't offer Delete.
