 Create your first company

Add a company record and fill in the fields your team actually uses.

 A company record tracks an account you sell to or work with — its name, who owns the relationship, and the people, tasks, and notes tied to it. You only need a name to create one; everything else can wait.

1. Click **Companies** in the sidebar.
2. Click **New company** in the top right.
3. Type the company's name into **Name** — this is the only required field.
4. Select an **Account Owner** if you want to assign the account to a teammate.
5. Fill in **Domains**, **LinkedIn**, or toggle **ICP** if you already know them — you can add these later.
6. Click **Create**.

The company appears in your Companies list right away. Open it to link the people who work there, log a task, or leave a note — those live on the **People**, **Tasks**, and **Notes** tabs of the company record.

Your team may have added or removed fields for companies. Ask a workspace admin — fields configured on the **Custom Fields** page show up on the create form automatically.
