 Request access to an email from a teammate

Ask a teammate to share the subject or the full body of a restricted email, and approve or deny the requests teammates send you.

 When a teammate's email shows less than you need, ask them for more. They approve or deny the request, and the email opens up for you alone.

1. Open the record's **Emails** tab.
2. On the restricted email, click **Request access from** and the teammate's name.
3. Choose the **Access level requested**: **Subject line and metadata**, or **Full access**.
4. Click **Submit**.

The row shows **Requested** until your teammate answers. Relaticle notifies you when they do.

Opening a restricted email shows what is held back. **Email body and subject are restricted** means you see only the participants and the date. **Email body is restricted** means you also see the subject line.

A **Private** email is never shown to teammates, so there is nothing to request.

Relaticle notifies you when a teammate asks for access to one of your emails. Open the email, and the pending request sits above it with **Approve** and **Deny**.

Approving shares that one email with that one teammate at the level they asked for. Your default sharing level and your other email stay as they are.

To take access back later, open the email, click **Sharing**, and remove the teammate under **Share with specific teammates**.
